A love-song from Turkey and/or Greece (then under Turkish dominion)"Bilbilicos" comes from the Turkish "bulbul" 'nightingale'. In many Sephardic communities the piyyut "Tsur Mishlo Achalnu" is sung at the first Sabbath meal in the tune of this Sephardic love song.
