Notes
I learned this song at a private Hebrew school in Toronto, sometime between grades 3 and 5. My Yiddish teacher was Mrs. Berman. Fifteen years later, I remember nothing of the Yiddish I learned for three years, except for this song. I can sing the whole song, and have taught it to others who do not speak Yiddish! Since I do not speak Yiddish at all, I am not sure if the words are correct, but this is how I remember it.
